This brief instructed us to create a microsite for a new product for one of the provided brands. I chose Oreo and the new product was a new flavour: Salted Caramel!
For this assignment, we were for the most part given a lot of freedom to do as we pleased. I decided to lean into Oreo's playful nature. While the brand is by default very carefree and playful, I decided to use their Wonderfilled campaign as inspiration for the direction I took when designing the microsite. For those of us who chose Oreo, we were also instructed that this new flavour be directed towards adults. With this in mind, I opted for a more cheeky approach. The result was the personification of the Oreos with an added bit of sass.
Mr Oreo, otherwise known as the original flavour, has found himself courting a new lady: Ms Oreo. The 2 have fun together and Mr Oreo sings her praise when telling everyone about her. "She's bursting with flavour, she keeps you guessing". But in the end he still wants to get the go ahead from you, the audience, as to whether or not you think she's worth the time and if he should "keep her around".
